The Memoirist expands to include famiy histories
I have been working on creating a new element of my business. To see what I have been up to, go to www.living-histories.com.
It's been quite a challenge setting up the new business. The web site was just the beginning.
In order to offer my new services so affordably, I had to make some changes in my business. The first change had to do with printing and binding methods.
I can still offer heritage books with high-quality sewn bindings printed on archival papers using offset printing, but I will now be offering another type of book for only $29.95 each. This desire to offer a new, low price meant that I needed to find a different method of producing books. I found that new method with digital printing.
I've never used digital printing for book production, so I am looking forward to seeing the samples that I ordered. I am curious to know if the quality of the printing is equivallent to that of offset printers. Even though I am now offering a new, more affordable service, I still demand the same quality on anything attached to my brand.
When I am happy with a digital printer, I will be ready to begin selling the DIY kits. I am hoping that it will be only another week or two. Meanwhile, until the kits are ready, AND ONLY UNTIL the kits are ready, I am offering my expertise for free. This is a rare opportunity that I invite you to take advantage of.
