Guess what?  I'm opening a publishing house - a POD publishing house.

It isn't named yet, but I discovered that the addition of a POD publishing house helps my clients save tons of money in publishing costs.  And with the tons of money that they save, they can now print extra copies of their memoirs for grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even other family and friends without breaking the bank.  I'm excited about the expansion.

During this start-up phase, I am not accepting any new clients, though to those existing clients, I promise that you take precidence.  You will lose nothing, but we can now squeeze a lot more options your budget.

It will probably take another month or so to put both the reunion business, which forced the publishing business into existence, and the memoirist's new web site into place, but I am excited about the growth of my business.

I have been working on creating a new element of my business.  To see what I have been up to, go to www.living-histories.com

It's been quite a challenge setting up the new business.  The web site was just the beginning.

In order to offer my new services so affordably, I had to make some changes in my business.  The first change had to do with printing and binding methods.

I can still offer heritage books with high-quality sewn bindings printed on archival papers using offset printing, but I will now be offering another type of book  for only  $29.95 each.   This desire to offer a new, low price meant that I needed to find a different method of producing books.  I found that new method with digital printing.

I've never used digital printing for book production, so I am looking forward to seeing the samples that I ordered.  I am curious to know if the quality of the printing is equivallent to that of offset printers.  Even though I am now offering a new, more affordable service, I still demand the same quality on anything attached to my brand.

When I am happy with a digital printer, I will be ready to begin selling the DIY kits. I am hoping that it will be only another week or two.  Meanwhile, until the kits are ready, AND ONLY UNTIL the kits are ready, I am offering my expertise for free.  This is a rare opportunity that I invite you to take advantage of.
